E-L-R

E-L-R is a Swiss trio from Bern, founded by bassist I.R. and guitarist S.M., who both sing; drummer M.K. joined the band shortly afterwards. Their music blends doom, shoegaze and black metal, often described as doomgaze or post-metal. One review hears a kinship with Alcest, with less melody and more guitar saturation, in a ritualised atmosphere of ethereal vocals. After Mænad and Vexier, a third album, Atropa, has been announced.
