La nuit des griffes

THE FESTIVAL La Nuit des Griffes is a film festival in Lausanne dedicated to horror, fantasy, science fiction, thriller and all the transgressive or unclassifiable forms of the seventh art. Founded in 2019, it has established itself as a unique cultural event on the Swiss scene, driven by a local team of enthusiasts. With a strong identity and a bold programme, the festival is aimed at everyone who loves films that scare, disturb, question or simply stray from the beaten path. Deeply rooted in the city of Lausanne, La Nuit des Griffes is fully integrated into local cultural life and helps the city shine through an inclusive, festive and committed approach to genre cinema. What sets the festival apart is above all its warm atmosphere, its freedom of tone and its commitment to being accessible to everyone: from hardcore fans to casual curious people, including families and students. Each edition offers: - film screenings (feature and short films, premieres, rarities, reimagined classics) - encounters with guests from the film world (directors, actors, technicians, experts) - festive and immersive activities - as well as activities specially designed for young audiences: storytelling, creative workshops, adapted screenings, etc. Over the years, the festival has seen its community and its reach grow, with attendance steadily rising, collaborations with renowned cultural institutions (ECAL, Cinémathèque suisse, CINE-CLUB UNIL) and an ever stronger commitment to supporting independent creation, underrepresented voices and new talent. But La Nuit des Griffes is much more than an annual event. It is also: - a committed cultural association that works all year round to make culture accessible to as many people as possible - a place of expression for artists - a playground for those who love strong emotions - and a lively, loyal community that keeps the heart of the festival beating
