Laibach

Formed in 1980 in Trbovlje, then part of Yugoslavia, and later co-founder and musical arm of the interdisciplinary art collective Neue Slovenische Kunst (NSK), Laibach has always moved along very idiosyncratic, surprising paths that are just as profound as they are highly controversial. Their opus, which has grown over the years into epic proportions, reliably provokes both enthusiasm and bewilderment in equal measure. After 2019 with "The Sound of Music" and 2024 with "Opus Dei Revisited", they return to us at the Gaswerk in 2027, this time with "MUSICK", their first new studio album since 2014, released in spring 2026. Musically, it unexpectedly draws on K-pop and Eurodance, combined with Mozart and AI algorithms. A whole range of guest musicians also take part: the Ghanaian singer Wiyaala, longtime companion Donna Marina Martensson, producer Richard X and others. And the first single released from it, "Allgorhythm", almost made it to the Eurovision honours. Well, well! We are eager for the new live show and are already looking forward to it enormously!
